Research Data

Research data are those materials generated or collected in the course of conducting research.
In recent years it has become increasingly evident the need and importance that data sources (datasets), which articulate the scientific work, can be properly cited. Such citation will facilitate identification, retrieval, inclusion in platforms and resources and, ultimately, their dissemination and visibility in general..
When preparing the bibliographic citation, there are some mandatory minimum elements (O) and others recommended (R) that are combined to prepare the citation:

 

DOI Citation Formatter is a service offered by DataCite that automatically constructs citations according to the style you select.
The latest version of the MLA style manual does not include this type of document. However, an example based on Data Cite is included below.

 

REFERENCE FORMAT

Author. "Title of source". Title of container, Publisher, Publication date, Location.
